What exactly is a phone these days? In the mid 1990’s a common piece of general knowledge which always seemed to be trending, concerned the fact that there was more computing power in a standard pocket calculator, than there was employed in the actual craft which got America to the moon and back in the 1960’s. These days though, technology seems to be able to do one better. There is after all, usually more computing power in the average smart phone today as there was in house sized super computers in the 1980’s.
However, smarter isn’t always better. Always being connected to social media, virtually to our work, and even using apps on our smart phones in order to turn on and off the lights at home is actually starting to exhaust a lot of people, me included. Or at least it was before I discovered the Wonlex Mini Phone I6.
The Wonlex Mini Phone I6 you see, is a mobile phone. It’s not an always on miniature home entertainment system and its overall function isn’t geared toward keeping me plugged into social media for every waking hour of the day. What the Mini Phone I6 is instead, is a sleek, stylish phone, dedicated to letting me receive and send calls and messages, whilst embodying just the right amount of extra features that I need for ultimate functionality.
Equipped with an FM radio and shake reactive MP3 player, the Mini Phone I6 gives me just the right amount of entertainment I need on commutes to and from work without being visually glued to a touchscreen. Likewise, the Mini Phone I6 is far from dumb. I can sync all of my phone messages and contacts via Bluetooth and I can store essential files and media on up to 8GB of T-f card storage.
Sound boring? While the Mini Phone I6 might not be for everybody, tuning out from the almost 24 hour bombardment of social media updates, in app advertisements and data heavy virtual media consumption really should be. With the Mini Phone I6 I’m available to call or message if someone needs me and vice versa. In the meantime though, I’ve reclaimed a massive amount of emotional freedom, free time in my day, and I’m ultimately more functional than before. Even better, I’m still connected to the world and the people who I need to be connected to with an uber stylish gadget which can rival any smartphone in the looks department.
